National Service-Learning Conference Early-Bird Rates Good Through Oct. 30, 2009

Be part of an event that celebrates service-learning as a force that spans cultural and national boundaries, builds communities, and strengthens young people. The National Service-Learning Conference will be held March 24-27, 2010 in San Jose, Calif. This year’s conference offers numerous opportunities for participation:

Register to Attend

The early bird deadline for the National Service-Learning Conference is quickly approaching. Register by October 30, 2009 to take advantage of full conference registration rates at the lowest prices!

Nominate Your Service-Learning Heroes for an Award

Don't miss this chance to shine a spotlight on exemplary leaders from across the service-learning movement and nurture the leaders of the future. Submit a nomination for the State Farm® Service-Learning Practitioner Leadership Award or Youth Leadership for Service-Learning Excellence Award. The nomination deadline is November 2, 2009.

Be a Conference Exhibitor

The Exhibit Hall is the epicenter of educational innovations and activities and provides an interactive center for resources and materials. Conference participants are interested in the latest education, communications, and consulting tools and techniques to enhance educational programming. The application deadline is December 4, 2009.

Be a Conference Affiliate

Affiliates are a crucial link between the conference and attendees, helping the conference reach diverse audiences. As an affiliate, you get exposure to an international audience of educators, state and federal officials, youth leaders, program coordinators, policy-makers, and representatives from community-based organizations involved in the service-learning movement. The application deadline is December 4, 2009.

Highlight Your Service-Learning Project or Higher Ed Institution

On Thursday, March 25, the Conference will feature two special events: a Service-Learning Showcase and College Fair. Please consider participating!

The Service-Learning Showcase will feature high-quality service-learning projects from across the country and around the world. Showcase participants will talk with conference attendees about service-learning project implementation, connection to curriculum goals, and impact. Youth participation is strongly encouraged in this exciting event! The application deadline is 4:00 p.m. CST, November 23, 2009.

The College Fair event is your chance to meet approximately 1,000 young leaders and highlight your university and its service-learning opportunities. The application deadline is December 4, 2009.

Sell Materials at the Conference Bookstore

Sell service-learning materials at the conference bookstore! Located in the Exhibit Hall, the bookstore puts your products in front of attendees from around the world. The application deadline is February 29, 2010.
